Tod Bain was born in Texas in 1974. Growing up, he lived in numerous places all over the country. After graduating from high school, Tod ended up joining the United States Marine Corps. During his eight year tour he traveled to many countries all over the world, and experienced many different cultures. In 1998, he began working the front desk at About Face Tattoos in Oceanside, CA. Although he had always been a very talented artist, his "big break" as a tattoo artist didn't come until 2001 when one of the artists didn't show up for work, and Tod's career began.

Tod has become one of the better known tattoo artists in San Diego County. His portfolio proves that no matter what his clients request from him, he is able to deliver. While his client base quickly grows, Tod always continues to push himself to become a better artist. With every piece he works on, he tries different techniques and ideas to make every tattoo a unique piece of art. His hard work and dedication is paying off, as he is making a name for himself in the industry. Whether he is working at a shop, a convention, or traveling out of town to meet the demands of his clients, Tod's appointment book is rapidly filling up. You can see Tod's work in many tattoo magazines as well as on the skin of many band members from As I Lay Dying, Destroy The Runner, Sworn Enemy, August Burns Red, Thieves And Liars, and This Is The Hospital.
